The Childe ascension materials are used to level up your Childe Level. To see how many total ascension materials you currently have, scroll down below and check the Childe Ascension Section!
If you need more, you can always ask a friend for some or PvP hard to get them!
Keep in mind that if you plan to ascend multiple times, it is much cheaper to buy CP from other players or to simply purchase them in the market.
Once Child has reached level 100 and upgraded the level cap, a total of 8582 stars are needed to be ascension materials.
For a successful ascension, Childe will need 2 Starconchs, 88 Sinking Stars, 96 Frozen Stars and 657 Heavens' Tears.
Oceanids and Stormterrors usually drop around 3 to 5 stars per battle. Fatui enemies can be found lurking in deep caves or frigid coastlines of Dragonspine. Childe himself is the best source for ascension materials through his weekly quests.
The enemies also drop Inkstone and Hardener which are used for crafting combat-related equipment.
Varunada Lazurite Sliver
Varunada Lazurite Sliver increases your Hydro characters' Character Ascension by 2 stars. One of the most powerful types of Character Ascension Materials to be introduced in recent years, Varunada Lazurite Sliver will help you grow any character faster than ever before.
Your characters, too, can experience all of the wonders that come with character growth—more hit points and mana, more sockets, and even more capabilities…but only if you're willing to put in the effort necessary to attain this Material at higher levels.
Characters must be level 180 and have started The One Who Knocks questline to unlock the Character Ascension quest series and obtain the materials to craft Varunada Lazurite.
A required item for crafting Varunada Lazurite Sliver is Stranglekelp Branch, fetchable from the Stranglekelp Zone.
Varunada Lazurite Fragment
This fragment is a rare find and has been identified as a fragment of the Lazurite Stone. While not identical, it is said to share many of the basic metaphysical properties of the Lazurite gem.
Only those possessing the will of the water, blessed by the caretaker or seekers looking for personal power and resolution are sometimes able to find one in the depths of a cave or some other secluded location.
Varunada Lazurite Chunk
The latest magic stone that can be found after character ascension is Varunada Lazurite Chunk. It is used to enhance the passive ability of Hydro characters and is a necessary material for the creation of the magic weapon.
Magic stone processing might be very challenging in the beginning, but it soon becomes easier with the upgrading of your production environment!
Blessed with a beautiful blue glow and a surprising amount of character depth, this chunk of Lazurite is the perfect gift for any Hydro Saint or Saintess. The Varunada Lazurite Chunk, as it's called in the West, has recently been discovered to actually be a form of Fae stone.
In fact, most scholars now agree that ancient Sages mistook this stone for septarian quartz until recently.
Varunada Lazurite Gemstone
For a fresh look that sends your skill into overdrive, try out the Varunada Lazurite Gemstone. This Ascended Character Material gives a drastic increase to the damage done by Hydro skills. What's more, since it's Ascended, you can expect greater bonuses to your character when using Fierce and Healing skills.
This unique Ascend Material is only available during this campaign and has some very special bonuses. Once the campaign is over, it will no longer be sold at Gem Store.
Cleansing Heart is a common material that drops from the oceanid boss in Labyrinthe of Hearts.
While you may use this cleansing heart to reincarnate a low-level character, that character has lower bonuses since he or she will be starting from scratch.
For example, if you reincarnate a Lv. 9 character using the cleansing heart, that character will only be able to reach Lv. 18 -- but at a low difficulty level. This cleansing heart can also be used as an ingredient to craft higher quality versions for your characters.
These undersea mollusks create their homes where there is little light and lots of noise. The rough winds, crashing surf, and whistling tides provide ideal conditions for the Starconch to cultivate.
New shells take up to five years to form. Toss one back into the sea after you hear your favorite song and play a round of that game you grew up with.
They have the same kind of beautiful look as the big shells.
If you buy one and hold it to your ears, you will hear the far-off clamor of the sea, and it seems that these creatures are still moaning for their lost seaside home.
Call for recruits and those who put the Fatui’s war machine together. Materials used to make this insignia were taken from those who wore them with pride. Once you equip it, it’ll be a reminder of the thin line that separates the strong from the weak.
This recruit's insignia was designed so that all who wear it united under the same banner. Recruits must think, however, that it is their ticket to becoming a full fledged member of the Fatui military.
A normal looking glass on the other hand is a way to note the wearer's general air of self-satisfaction, recognizing that there is a person within who either doesn't quite care what the next hour brings or at least is able to convince themself that it will be worth it to weather the storm because of what follows.

Fatui enemy forces use a variety of equipment, including weaponry and attribute-boosting insignia. Insignia may be enchanted for additional stat boosts. Not all insignia are created equal, however, as only a handful of them are crafted by master artisans.
The Sergeant's Insignia is a Common Ascension Material that you can gather by defeating Lv. 40+ Fatui Skirmishers, Fatui Cicin Mages, and Fatui Pyro Agents (monsters in Patria).
The insignia gives off a faint blue light. There are also other materials specific to each monster and they all have their special effects.
Some may even let abilities like dealing DoT (Damage over Time) and give quick movement speeds!
60+ Fatui Skirmishers, Fatui Cicin Mages, and Fatui Pyro Agents. Time to gather up some extra Lieutenant's Insignia as there is a new equipment set coming out soon!
The Fatui are without a doubt the most powerful enemies in the skies. Not only does their army outnumber those who stand against them, but each one is incredibly unique and powerful. One such officer is believed to be the first of his kind - a captain who wields dual swords as large as he is tall!
It all began when the Fatui invaded, and a representative from the nation of Castanica took a courageous stand against them, leading to a series of calamities.
In the midst of this, representatives from Rangora and Arajinn were driven by their own ambitions and stood against one another in a war that endured for ages.
Amidst the chaos, we made alliances with many other tribes and races, finally unifying under one banner.
We were ultimately victorious over the Fatui, but the scars left by our ongoing battles are very much alive in the form of grim reminders everywhere you turn.
