If you want to convey your message to users on screen, your landing page should communicate something through words, colors, and the chosen font.

Whether you're selling chocolate or developing space technology, you will definitely need a landing page.

That's why, when done well, it can boost your business, but when done poorly, it can undermine it.

Purple doesn't have a single meaning in landing page design. The same color can feel creative and experimental on one page, while on another it can take on a premium, technological, or reassuring tone.

Sometimes soft and calm like lavender, sometimes dark and deep; sometimes conveying a “sense of the future” with gradient transitions. That's why purple, in the right hands, is not just an ordinary color, but a tool that directly conveys the brand's character.

In this article, we will look at examples of purple landing pages that utilize purple from different angles and have been successfully used in various industries.

This selection, ranging from portfolio sites to AI and SaaS products, fintech services, and creative studios, clearly illustrates how this color is balanced with typography, spacing, and other colors.

If your design skills aren't quite up to scratch yet, or if creating something from scratch feels daunting, use a website builder inspired by these pages as a perfectly sensible place to start.

Referencing well-designed examples and building your own content on top of these structures is often the most practical approach.

Taking well-designed examples as a reference and building your own content on top of these structures is often the most practical approach.

If you're ready, let's now take a closer look at how purple adapts to different tasks by examining the pages one by one.

Amna Javed — Creative Portfolio

There's a saying: Show, don't tell. This page is a bit like the landing page version of that saying. Purple plays its role very well here. It embodies creativity, elegance, and a touch of mystery.

As a portfolio site, its value proposition is to market an aesthetic experience. And it does so by delivering an aesthetic experience.

J-Vers — “Take Control of Hiring”

The purpose of the above work is completely different, but both can achieve their goals with purple. This is what sets this color apart from the others.

If you are a job hiring site, you must offer corporate trust to both employers and job seekers. This cannot be done by pretending. Corporate trust must truly be part of your identity.

Companies with these kinds of goals sometimes choose blue, but using purple without overdoing it—as seen here—is more successful than using blue correctly.

The boldness of the typography also contributes to the success of this design.

Genway — AI Research Platform

Purple has become the color of Artificial Intelligence companies these days. Living the future today takes courage. And that's where purple's boldness comes in handy. Sometimes you feel like you're living in a science fiction novel.

The use of white on the landing page also makes the spacing feel more spacious.

Arc Search — Mobile Browser

For those of you who don't know Arc browser, let me introduce it to you in one sentence:

The inventor of the Side Bar in browsers. If I could use one sentence, it would be this. It also allows us to work efficiently with its screen splitting feature.

As you can see, it has many good points.

Arc uses purple here in a more “cool product” language. The gradient background highlights the product screenshots; purple creates the atmosphere in the background.

Jitter — Motion Design Tool

If you work in motion design, you need to showcase the flawlessness of your output on your landing page.

Believe it or not, purple is one of the colors that best creates the 4K feel.

Let's give visitors a sense of Adobe's comfort, but let's also convey the message that we should be ourselves.

Jules — Coding Agent

You probably weren't expecting to see green with an octopus logo and pixel design. We could say that the use of purple here seems like a natural choice.

Let's be realistic. Developer tools are a bit boring. There are people who enjoy them, who even fall in love with the “;” sign in code. It's not impossible.

But unfortunately, when we look at the industry as a whole, there aren't that many of these individuals.

No matter how useful it is, this boring tool makes this fun landing page a little more appealing.

Unicorn Studio — WebGL Design Tool

Here we see a pastel shade of our color, purple, which we wrote a blog post about. Purple stands out among such dark tones. It makes the buttons and hover effects more effective.

We don't often see the color purple used in fintech companies. We want to see the seriousness of an institution we entrust our money to, rather than its playfulness. And rightly so.

Friends, these products and landing pages have been part of our lives for a few decades now. But many colors have been part of our lives for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years.

Even though the contexts in which they are used have changed, the feelings they evoke in us don't change so easily.

That's why most brands don't take the risk of using bold colors.

But in this application, the illustrations create warmth rather than fun, so it's tolerable.

I wanted to add this design to the list because it's a good example of unconventional use.

A Present Force — Design Studio

I thought it would be more stylish to end our landing page review tour, which we started with a portfolio, with another design studio page.

As you can tell from the texture of the words chosen for the subheading in the header section, the studio embraces women's labor.

The use of a bright purple also reinforces this pattern.

Although I defend the idea that colors have no identity, mine may be the fantasy dimension of my belief in democracy.

Yes, no color can replace any gender, but it can still be supportive in some connotations.
