Add a Gradient or Change the Color of Text on the Mac
Consider changing the text color to coordinate with the template you are using. You can fill the text with images or gradients.
This is how you can change the text color –
- Select the text where you want to change the color. Select the table cell or text box to change the entire text in a table cell or text box.
- Click the Style button in the Format sidebar.
- Click the Text tab if your text is in a table or text box.
- Now, click the menu below the Font section and select a color that coordinates with the template. Of course, you can also select any color you think will make it easier to read from the color palette, or you can choose two different colors for a two-color gradient fill. Add an Outline or Shadow to the Text
Make the text stand out and thus easier to read by adding an outline or shadow. Here’s how you can remove or add a text outline.
- Select the text you want changed.
- Click the Style button in the Format sidebar.
- Within the Font section, you will find the More Text Options button. Click and then deselect or select the Outline box.
- You can change the line color, width, and type if you are adding an outline.
To remove or add a shadow –
- Select the text you want changed.
- Click the Style button in the Format sidebar.
- Visit the Font section and click the More Text Options button.
- Deselect or select the Shadow box.
Here’s how you can adjust the appearance if you are adding a shadow –
- Offset – Work with the arrows to change the space between the shadow and the text.
- Blur – The arrows will help you decrease or increase the shadow’s sharpness.
- Angle – Drag your Angle wheel and you will be able to change the light source direction. Alternatively, enter a value in the wheel’s field.
- Opacity – You can also make the shadow less or more transparent. For this, you have to click the arrows.
- Color – Choose a color for the shadow that will go well with the coordinates of your template elements. You can select from the color wheel that is on the right side. Here are a few blue gradients you can select from.
