The flag of the Netherlands consists of the colors red (#AE1C28), white (#FFFFFF) and blue (#21468B).
Red stands for courage and strength, white for peace and honesty, and blue for fairness and loyalty.
These colors substituted the color orange in its first iteration, known as the Prince's flag, in the 16th century.
Of course, the color of orange is still one of the symbols of the Netherlands, but in the flag it has been replaced by the more flamboyant red. The Dutch flag is known as one of the oldest tricolor flags in world lore and has inspired many other flags.
