Controlled heat moves the surface toward Slate Gray and Light Steel Blue.

A high polish produces the Silver flash most people expect, while Goldenrod recalls gilded lines laid over the metal.

The craftsperson could therefore change the entire impression of a suit before adding a single ornament.
