Majorelle Blue Color

This color  was the color formulated by French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1962.

An artist and designer, Majorelle enjoyed much success as an interior designer in Paris, where he created the Majorelle Garden in 1943.

He later moved to Marrakech, Morocco, where he designed Villa Oasis.

The villa and surrounding gardens were works of art that Majorelle filled with African artifacts and art.

The garden was soon replaced with the design we see today, which includes a slightly different shade of blue.
