Charmander is easy to recognize before the flame enters the picture. Orange covers the body, Moccasin marks the pale underside, and Deep Sky Blue gives the eyes their clear contrast.
The tail changes how the palette reads.
Yellow at the center and Orange Red around it make the flame look active, while Dark Orange connects that glow back to the body.
The Pokedex says a healthy Charmander's flame burns vigorously, so its brightest colors tell part of the story.
