Thermal cameras measure radiation; they do not discover blue or yellow paint on a surface. Ironbow assigns dark blue and purple to lower values so cooler areas recede visually.
Magenta and orange occupy the rise. Yellow and pale yellow identify the upper end, but no swatch has one permanent temperature; the mapping depends on the range chosen for that image.
