As a child, I watched cartoons. And as an adult, I still do. I love watching Blue Fairy, Princess Luna and Captain Planet kick butt. But what if the characters in these cartoons were blue?

Princess Luna is a female character from the cartoon series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is the younger sister of Celestia and the former Nightmare Moon.

In season 1, Luna helps her sister with maintaining harmony in Equestria until she is freed from her imprisonment by an evil unicorn named Tirek and subsequently turns into Nightmare Moon once again due to her negative feelings toward being imprisoned for 10,000 years.

Captain Planet is a fictional superhero created by Ted Turner and Barbara Pyle, who first appeared in 1990 on the TBS (Turner Broadcasting System) animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers. The character is also a corporate mascot for environmentalism. Created as an instrument of satire, the show did not intend to be taken seriously.

Captain Planet has been around for over 20 years but still holds up as one of television's most charming characters.

My Pet Monster was a children's television show that premiered on the NBC network in 1988. It was created by Sid and Marty Krofft and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The show centers around a group of friendly monsters who live together in the fictional town of Can-A-Kakotopia, USA.

Cookie Monster has been around since 1969 when he first appeared on Sesame Street as a puppet character. Since then, he has become one of the most popular Muppets ever created.

Dragonair's name is a portmanteau of dragon and air, referencing its serpentine body and the fact that it has wings on its back which allow it to fly.

Squirtle is a fictional creature from the Pokémon media franchise. It first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue, but has made cameo appearances in several other video games since. 

Squirtle is known as the Tiny Turtle Pokémon, and it evolves into Wartortle starting at level 16, which then evolves into Blastoise starting at level 36.

Grover is a blue monster and he is one of the members of Sesame Street. He was first seen in the show in 1975 and has been there ever since. 

He is known as a teacher, but he also considers himself to be everyone's friend. Grover loves to help others, especially those who are scared or upset about something. 

Merlin

Merlin

Merlin is a powerful sorcerer, who acts as Arthur's mentor. He also becomes friends with Gwen and Morgana. Merlin is voiced by Colin Morgan.

Merlin is the main protagonist of the series that bears his name, which was developed for television by Julian Jones, Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy for Shine Television (an independent production company). It was aired on BBC One from 20 September 2008 to 24 December 2012.

A tomboyish cyan pegasus pony who flies fast and speaks in a loud voice (usually yelling), Rainbow Dash lives in Ponyville where she runs the weather team called "The Best Pegasus Squad Ever" along with her friends Fluttershy and Applejack.

His first appearance was in "Yankee Doodle Daffy" (1943) where he introduces himself as "Mr Grump."

Lyssa Drak is a character from the Wonder Woman comic books. She's the daughter of Ares, the God of War, and an Amazon Princess named Myrina Black who was abducted and raped by him. Lyssa was born with dark hair and skin—both traits that are very rare in Themyscira (the island where Wonder Woman lives).

Merryweather

Merryweather is a fictional character in the Disney Fairies franchise. She is a pixie and a nymph, the mother of Tinker Bell, and the teacher of Tink, Rosetta, Silvermist, Vidia and Fawn.

She is also Queen Clarion's friend.

My Pet Monster

My Pet Monster was a show that aired on CBS in 1989. The series was about a boy named Peter who had a monster that he called Mr. Moo (a blue monster). Peter and Mr. Moo were best friends and they went on adventures together.

The Snow Queen

  • The Snow Queen is the main antagonist of the story, and she lives in an ice palace high up in the mountains.
  • She has blue eyes and long white-blonde hair that looks almost like icicles.

The Reluctant Dragon

In 1908, Kenneth Grahame published The Reluctant Dragon, a children's book that tells the story of a dragon who doesn't want to be a dragon.

 The story is largely an allegory for human growth in which the main character, named Bashful Bulgywort, wants to become human and explore the world beyond his home in the woods. 

In order to do this he must convince himself (and others) that he has what it takes to become a knight or firefighter instead of simply being content with being who he is: A dragon.

Gonzo the Great

Gonzo is a blue Muppet character on the TV show "The Muppet Show". He is the drummer of the Electric Mayhem band.

Gonzo has a long nose that he uses as a trumpet and trombone, which he calls his "honker". He sometimes plays other instruments such as saxophone, clarinet or bassoon. 

His signature song is called "My Name is Gonzo", though it was only heard once in The Muppet Show. 

It can be heard in various episodes of The Jim Henson Hour and The Muppets Take Manhattan but not in any albums featuring original music from The Muppets.

Stitch

Stitch is a blue alien from the Lilo & Stitch franchise. He was created by Jumba Jookiba, who originally intended to use him as a weapon.

Stitch is also known as Experiment 626 and Blue Angel in some promotional material.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series introduced Stitch's close friend, an Earth girl named Lilo Pelekai. 

Dory

Dory is a blue fish with short-term memory loss. She is one of the two main characters in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. 

She is voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, who also provides her voice for other characters from the same film series, including Marlin and Destiny.

Dory is an innocent and cheerful clownfish who yearns to be part of something bigger than herself. 

Rio

Rio is a 2011 American 3D computer-animated adventure-comedy film produced by Blue Sky Studios and directed by Carlos Saldanha. 

The title refers to the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, whose name is derived from "Rio de Janeiro", which means "River of January".

Sully

Sully is a blue monster. He is the mascot of Fruit Brute cereal, which was introduced in the 1970s, and has been around ever since. Sully's uncle Boo Berry first appeared in 1964, and he is still a popular character today even though Fruit Brute's popularity has waned over time. 

The two monsters are both blue and have scary faces that can scare off people who don't like blue or scary things!

They are always hungry because they eat so much fruit cereal all day long! 

Boo Berry

Boo Berry is a blue monster and the mascot of Kellogg's cereal. He was created by Tony the Tiger in 1969.

He is a blue monster with red hair, a red nose, and a red tongue.

Blue M&M

A special edition of the blue M&M character is unique to the brand. It has been in existence since 1990 and was first introduced as a limited edition item, but it has since reappeared several times in different shades: purple, green and even white.

The Blue M&M is shaped like a normal M&M, but it's nearly twice as big (the size of two regular ones) and has a distinct blue color. In total there are only four major variations of this character: red with black spots; green with yellow spots; white without any spots at all; blue with black spots.

Beast is a superhero in the Marvel Comics universe, who has appeared in various comics, cartoons and video games. The character first appears in X-Men #1.

Buster Bunny

Buster Bunny is a cartoon character created in 1955 by Warner Bros. Animation, who first appeared in the animated short film, "Rabbit's Kin", which was nominated for an Academy Award. 

Buster is the main character of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He is best known for his outrageous personality and catchphrase: "That's all folks!"

In Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies: The Essential Collection (2003), Robert McKimson said he based Buster on Bugs Bunny because he looked so much like him that it would be easy for animators to draw a new character (and since Disney had already claimed ownership to all things rabbit).
