Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
Two green bands frame a blue middle band on Chattanooga’s flag. All three have the same height. The city seal sits in the center, adding a gold-colored ring and smaller details to the broad fields of color.
The city’s adoption resolution connects green with the surrounding mountains and blue with the Tennessee River. Its text is reproduced with the flag’s design record.
Ełk, Poland
Ełk, in Poland’s Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, uses two equal horizontal bands: blue above green. The central arms contain a white stag beside golden trees, with a red bishop’s mitre and crossed golden croziers in the upper corner. The city statute also permits the flag without its arms.
Santa Elena Province, Ecuador
Santa Elena’s provincial flag runs vertically: green at the hoist, blue in the middle and celeste at the fly. The provincial government uses that Spanish word for the sky blue band. The arms sit in the central blue section.
The three equal bands correspond to the cantons of Santa Elena, Salinas and La Libertad. The official description associates green with Santa Elena’s natural landscape, blue with Salinas and the sea, and celeste with La Libertad’s sky.
